Perinatal services offer several specialty outpatient education programs, including the Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP) and education on diabetes and pregnancy, breastfeeding and childbirth.

The Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP) provides a variety of services and education to women prior to and up to 60 days after delivery. Goals include decreasing the number of underweight infants, improving the outcome of every pregnancy, giving every baby a healthy start and lowering healthcare costs by preventing catastrophic and chronic illness in infants and children. CPSP is a Medi-Cal sponsored program for pregnant women enrolled in straight Medi-Cal or a Medi-Cal Managed Care Plan. Services include:
The Diabetes and Pregnancy Education Program provides information, evaluation and intervention for diabetic women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. The goal is to improve pregnancy outcomes for women who have diabetes or develop it during pregnancy, (gestational diabetes) and to reduce fetal deaths and neonatal/maternal complications due to diabetes. Women receive an initial evaluation and follow-up by a registered nurse and dietitian. Provider referral required.
