In our cardiopulmonary department, we treat a variety of heart problems and conditions, from general preventative cardiological care to heart failure. From diagnosis to recovery, we help you reduce your risk of complications and improve our patients’ cardiac outcomes.
Several factors increase your risk of heart disease, including obesity, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. At our family clinics, we can assess your risk for these conditions and provide education on lifestyle changes to lower your risk of cardiac conditions. If you have high blood pressure or high cholesterol, a low-salt, low-cholesterol diet, combined with regular exercise, may help reduce strain on your heart.
An acute cardiac event such as a heart attack or unstable angina is a medical emergency. If you experience sudden onset chest pain, visit our emergency department for immediate evaluation. If your assessment indicates a cardiac condition, you’ll be admitted to our cardiology unit for further care.
In our cardiology unit, we provide continuous monitoring of heart function. We offer treatments for myocardial infarction, unstable angina, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, and other acute conditions. Our multidisciplinary cardiology team provides pharmacological and surgical interventions to prevent further damage and restore cardiac function.
If you’ve experienced a cardiac event, we offer ongoing cardiac rehabilitative care to support recovery and improve quality of life. Learn more about our cardiac rehabilitation programs by calling 909.335.5617.
