Hospitals, including Redlands Community Hospital, utilize products that
contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer or
reproductive harm. Such products include, but are not limited to:
- Catheters
- Formaldehyde
- Trays
- IV Tubings or other
- Irrigation Sets flexible plastic products
- Mucous Traps
- Sterilized Kits
- Wound Care Kits
- Heavy metals or metal
- Vitamin A prosthetics
- Syringes
- Leaded glass
- Drains (Penrose)
- Prescription or over the counter medications
- Airways counter drugs
- Blood Draw Kits
- Enema Kits
- Mercury Thermometers
- Specimen Containers and Collection Sets
- Products or Devices sterilized with Ethylene Oxide or made with Di (2-ethylhexyl)
phthalate ("DEHP") which is a plasticizer to make PVC products soft)
